Samantha & Jeff at the Inn at Erlowest

Samantha and Jeff chose the timelessly elegant Inn at Erlowest for their destination wedding. Family and friends came from Colorado and Michigan to join in the celebration. The torrential rain during the ceremony didn’t damper their celebration one bit! After the ceremony, with DJ Jeffrey Scott manning the dance floor and the amazing Amy Elizabeth running the Upstate Photographer’s Photo Station, it was a magical night that we will not soon forget!

Kevyn and Albert’s Scottish Wedding

Saratoga Springs has long been one of Kevyn and Al’s favorite get-away places, so it was only natural that when it came time to select the place to have their wedding, they chose the beautiful Lodge at Saratoga Casino and Raceway.

It was the perfect location for their colorful Scottish affair, complete with bag pipers, kilts and Scottish dancers. Here is a peek at some of the images from their day!

Savoring the Passage of Time

We met Nicole and Patrick in the Fall of 2007 when they came in to interview us when they were looking for a wedding photographer. That meeting became the springboard to a long term photographic relationship!

We shot their engagement session in Northampton, MA in the Spring of 2008:

Then we photographed their wedding in the fall of 2008:

We ran into them again in the fall of 2010 when they attended Nicole and Ryan’s wedding as guests — check out the baby bump!

Last week, Nicole and Patrick visited our studio, and brought along their 2-month-old daughter, Evelyn.

And that brings us to something we were thinking about today — what makes us happiest in our work is that it gives us the opportunity to get to know so many amazing people. It is a true pleasure documenting the unique journey that each person, couple, or family we photograph is on, as they make their way through all the choices and decisions of their lives! And to Nicole and Patrick, we say — thanks for reminding us all how it’s done — beautiful!
