Tiffany and Jim at the Franklin Plaza

It was somehow fitting that the wedding we shot the weekend before we moved our studio to Troy was actually in Troy, at one of our favorite venues — the beautiful Franklin Plaza. Tiffany was one of those brides who planned everything meticulously in advance, and then was open to making quick changes on the wedding day as events unfolded. For example, our original plan was to do the formal photography in Albany, but the wind and rain was threatening big time, so at the last minute, we shot at Russell Sage instead. Then, Tiffany decided to take all the girls for a quick cocktail at Brown’s Taproom — 20 minutes before the wedding! Everybody from me to the priest doing the wedding were biting our nails — but there was Tiffany — arriving at the church at exactly the right time!

Jim and the guys were awesome too — putting up with Paul’s papparazi-style shooting while they were getting dressed, and then giving great attitude during the formal photos — a cross between rock-band cool and Las Vegas rat-pack style! This couple had style and then some — we couldn’t resist doing a lot of the photos in classic, timeless black and white.

Overall, a highly enjoyable wedding, a beautiful couple, and wonderful friends and family with a great sense of humor that kept us smiling and laughing through the entire day.
