How strange it is to shoot two weddings at the same venue a week apart — one with Sara and Kevin, the other with Tara and Kevin. It’s always amazing how two different weddings at the same place can be equally beautiful, but in completely different ways!
Part of the fun of working with Tara and Kevin is that Tara’s family helped us enter the wedding business — Leanne and Tara’s brother Justin chose us to be their wedding photographers several years ago, back when we didn’t have a single wedding photo to show! We had a blast, they loved the pictures, and a wedding photography business was born! A year later, that led Liz and Mike to choose us as their wedding photographers (Mike was Justin’s best man).
It’s always a privilege and an honor when couples recommend us to their friends and family, and we get to see old friends again and again!
Tara and Kevin are the sweetest of couples — I remember when we shot their engagement session at Thatcher Park last fall, we ended up going on a weekend, and the place was PACKED with leaf-peepers. They were so patient — waiting for just the right moment, when there were no tourists wandering around behind them to ruin the shot.
