Michelle and Bill got married just around the corner from us; which is to say, it was a country wedding. But if we just left it at that, you’d have the wrong idea. The truth is, Michelle and Bill put together a once-in-a-lifetime celebration that we won’t soon forget. With Deryck de Matas bringing his expertise in all things wedding in general, and all things beautiful in particular, it was obvious that this was going to be a visual delight!

In the end, it wasn’t about the great celebration or the great music, it was about Michelle and Bill. Their joy and love was the most beautiful thing we saw all day. We hope that through our pictures, you can see it too.

Looks like Upstate Photographers was way ahead of the curve on this idea from one of the bigwig photographers out there:

You’ve been ‘green’ in most of the ways she lists for years!
This wedding looks beautiful…where was it held?
You’re right — it was a beautifully-planned wedding held in a gorgeous location — on private property in Voorheesville, NY.

My fiancé and I are in touch with Jonny Rosch to hire his band for our wedding this August. We’ve heard them perform, but not in a wedding venue. If its not too much trouble would you mind telling me your impressions of the music at this wedding? The photos certainly suggest they were a hit, but I would love to know more. Thank you!

Wow. You’re in for a rare treat! Jonny and his band break virtually all of the wedding band rules – he drinks during the performance, dances with the guests – you name the rule, he breaks it. But like all true geniuses, the rules that apply to us lessor beings simply don’t apply to him. The reception I photographed was the most beautiful, amazing performance I have ever seen by a wedding entertainer. Should you hire him, you and your guests will have a once-in-lifetime experience you will never forget.
Seriously – I’ve had the privilige to be at some spectacular private parties in my life – Ray Charles and the Seattle Symphony for a small group of guests, Lenny Kravitz in a small intimate club, and countless others. NONE of these came close to being as entertaining, joyous, and emotional as Johnny’s reception performance.
My advice is to run to your phone and close the deal. He’s the real thing – not to be missed.
Best,
Paul
